DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE REQUEST FOR ACCOMMODATION

To formalize the booking, the following document will be required, as appropriate:

  • Application form duly completed.
  • Copy of DNI or Passport.
  • UPC registration document.
  • For foreigners, supporting document proving participation in a UPC mobility program, issued by UPC.
  • In the case of an employee of the UPC, you must attach a copy of the contract and final paycheck.
  • Copy of bank account number (must be a Spanish account).
  • Receipt of bank deposit of 300 euros for reservation (if the booking is confirmed, this amount form part of the security deposit).

Please remember that the request can be sent either through our website www.residenciavilanova.cat, by e-mail or by hand to our offices. The rest of the documentation must be reach us by e-mail or in person at our offices.

ALLOCATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE APARTMENTS

Criteria and distribution of the apartments:

  • The allocation of housing will be in strict order of reservation requests for rentals of 10 months. For shorter periods, except for international programs, we will have to check availability.

Formalization of the contracts:

  • The lease runs for 10 months, the same as the academic year, from September 1 until June 30 of the following year.
  • Before signing the contract, applicants admitted will need to pay the rest of the deposit 15 days before taking the apartment. This payment can be made at the offices of the residence or by bank transfer.
  • The outstanding amount will be indicated by the staff of the Residence Vila-Nova.

Disclaimers:

  • If you have been given a place at the residence and must abandon the process, it is necessary for us to know one month in advance. Do not forget that fellow students are listed as waiting for a vacancy and it is very important that we know as soon as possible.
  • Booking deposit will be returned in the following circumstances:
    • The accommodation request is not available.
    • The person concerned has not been accepted by the University.
    • There are no places.
  • The booking deposit will not be returned if the person concerned has a change of mind.

Waiting List:

  • The residence has a waiting list open to all students who have submitted applications and have not been admitted to the first initial list. For this reason we ask you to specify your phone during all August to facilitate communication of newly available places.
